Thank you Professor Diesen, for your courage, your clear thinking and writing that shows us the reality of the situation in Ukraine in a very balanced and comprehensive way. Your approach shows your high moral calibre and I am nourished by that.
I am sorry to hear that you encounter so much pressure that you are considering having to relocate to another country. Also that shows your strength.
Norway will be the poorer for it.
As you say, the war in Ukraine would not have happened if the media were not completely sold to a false and war mongering narrative, and the populations in the “collective West” not so eager to be taken in by it.
Well Diesen, I agree with you, but you cannot live from people encouraging your mood. They don't pay your living. That's why almost everyone, or in fact everyone who agrees with you, keep silent, or keep so moderate that their comments are not worth reading.
More intellectually integrated and sharp you are, more difficulties you meet from the devil imperialist system, that has expropiated the money people live from.
I have gone through similar experiences myself, especially ten years ago when I revealed the truth about the Colorful Revolution in Macedonia. After that, I was repeatedly accused of alleged hate speech and antisemitism, and the rector of my university publicly condemned me without even asking whether there was any truth to the public smear campaign. The latest blow, dear Glenn, came after the conference in Skopje, which you attended, as well as my participation in the Valdai Conference. Immediately afterward, I was dismissed from my position as head of the Global Changes Center. They haven’t forced me to leave the country yet, but they did push me into early retirement. But that is the path we have chosen. I wish you stamina and courage.
Thank you for your courage and intellectual integrity. I’d only add that you’re too kind to your tormentors; in fact, we in the West have been living under regimes that are almost totalitarian, that are heirs to the Nazi Reich. Norway of course has a shameful history of collaboration with Nazis, while the USA gave shelter to many Nazis after WW2.
Dear Professor Diesen! I know you as one of the most peaceful, honest and fact oriented analists on geopolitics around. You pay a price for your honesty but truth is more important for you than everything else. Thank you so much!
It looks like Norwegians should make themselves more familiar with Henrik Ibsen's 'En Folkefiende' (An Enemy of the People) to really appreciate how much our country needs people like Glenn Diesen and the others in his camp to counter US and western propaganda and lies.
It is refreshing to see that professor Diesen is not backing down, but show for all to see his tremendous courage!
I deeply appreciate your courageous efforts to bring the truth to light. In a world where mainstream narratives often dominate, the fact that you are facing resistance and attacks only reinforces the importance of your work. It seems to me that when powerful institutions try to silence someone, it is often because that person is uncovering something they would rather keep hidden. Stay strong, and know that your pursuit of truth is both valuable and appreciated.
Wow! If people like yourself have to leave their home countries for telling the truth and exposing politicians for their corruption, things have gone from bad to worse! I will continue to support you nonetheless.
USAID: Biden threatened to withhold a $1 billion USAID loan guarantee unless Ukraine fired the prosecutor investigating his son's company. Victoria Nuland funded the Ukrainian coup with USAID money. USAID is at the heart of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
"an employee at the Norwegian Helsinki Committee published a picture of my house on social media."
And the Norwegian police did what exactly?
Sue their arses off, Glenn.
Who was it? Ivar Dale, currently on leave? On leave because he's been a naughty boy, posting addresses/photos of Norwegian citizens on the internet?
Or on leave because he's in Ukraine, doing dodgy shite?
Possibly both.
These people are fascists, but a new type of fascist: fascist-centrists. Anyone who purports to stand for the 'international rules-based order' is a fascist. The name doesn't attempt to hide it.
Not all heroes wear a cape, some write the truth, Mr. Diesen.
I'm sorry you have to relocate, but hope you'll be able to write a bestseller after this and spread the truth like a bomb.
I'm hoping that you will one day be able to do a deepdive on Jens Stoltenberg. He's got more "svin på skogen" than a jailbird. That's my sense and intuition at least.
I never thought I would be this happy to see Trump elected, really, but it seems he's a blessing in many ways. Maybe he'll be the one to unravel the whole deck of cards. 🤞
Check out Glenn Diesen's books, and in particular 'The Think Tank Racket'. And don't have too much hope about Trump's ability to make much difference in his dealing with the deep state. He is just another alligator in Washington's putrid swamp.
I'd love to get my hands on all of his books, he's brilliant!
Not a Trump fan at all, but it seams Trump may be the best choice for this particular job. My first choice would have been Bernie Sanders, but DNC ruined that one.
All Biden did after Trump was elected, was to escalate the war. That's no longer happening. Even that is a win.
Trump's just a louder stooge than normal. And my admiration for Sanders came to nought too many times - he sounds good, but suspiciously never pulls through when most needed. American politics is just a circle of chairs for people fighting to become middle managers. Don't trust any!
I'm not sure what you expect Sanders to achieve as one person. I have no illusions that he can. I speak of the elements he could have achieved IF he was the president.
Trump may be a stooge, but a stooge ending a dumb and totally unnecessary war. I'll take that as a win for humanity.
The American uniparty system stupifies its citizens and threatens the world. Anyone choosing to be a Republican or a Democrat over the long term, once naivety is impossible, is selfish and not a representative. I'm simply saying that credible heroes are impossible.
I truly hope Stoltenberg looses ALL credibility after the Nato fiasco. He's now a finance minister, and too many are blinded by their admiration to him. I am pretty sure he's heavily involved in trying to expell Diesen out of Norway. The duping of Norwegians must apparently go on! Watching Stoltenberg and many European leaders dreadful faces after Trump won, has been hilarious to say the least😂
Forgive me for a long one, but rather than me link to my page, here's:
I'm only a cynical bastard if what I say is mostly untrue. This isn't about exceptions such as activists, investigative journalists, real leaders and revolutions. This is about “everyday life” wherein we're frustrated at our shrinking living standards but still able to drink a beer on the weekend.
Politicians from the majors know where they stand with us. They must be nice to get allocated an office by their party. Then we're a nuisance to be tolerated the next four or five years. If they engage, we'll keep asking for more. So, it's better to speak in generalisations, and avoid us as much as possible until we're mentally exhausted into silence.
Unless it arrives with destruction, protest has as much chance of survival as a television news cycle.
But the politicians repetitively turn up for the Media to say something they know we want to hear. It makes no difference whether it's positive or negative, they just must resonate our too often uneducated opinion about the latest topic. They need us to know they exist so that we can forgive them before the next election.
We're conditioned to hope and hate, forget and repeat... and live in a box designed by someone else's intention for us.
I'm inside a 'pretty' box that feels real, taught to believe that everything outside is terrifying darkness. No matter how much my little-little box keeps shrinking-shrinking, I'm going to bend and squeeze to stay inside it... and never discover that inside is the lie, and everything outside is all that matters.
Constitutional democracy is more for the politicians than voters... which makes them fear other politicians more than us. There's always someone who wants their chair, or to fight them for the chair with the bigger cushion. From our viewpoint, them switching places doesn't change much. Different faces don't alter the nature of politics, only who builds the boxes.
We've little to do with who rules the DA or the ANC, or the Democrats and the Republicans, or Labour and the Tories. Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Keir Starmer, Boris Johnson, Cyril Ramaphosa and their kind live in a world of chairs not boxes.
You're right if you pointed out that there's leeway at the bottom. At some point, they had to climb out of the box and onto the chair. It's more probable that someone lowered a ladder. No matter how they got there, ask yourself how many local politicians names you knew when they got elected in your backyard. And if they later got kicked out of Council for being a thief, was it because of Public action... or because another politician or their own party wanted their chair? And of all those thieves that lost their chairs, how many got sent to that box called jail?
There are too many useful idiots and not enough anarchists.
It isn't democracy, just fucking boxes and chairs.
[I'm vanishing from politics on Substack for several weeks so forgive me when I don't respond to your response - thanks]
I have a Norwegian son. He is now 34. Back in 1993, I was falsely accused of kidnapping the child by the Oslo police. I was following the advice of a senior family lawyer in Oslo. It was my weekend to take care of the child. The police burst into my rented apartment early in the morning. They took me to Oslo under arrest.
At the sham trial, a lady judge denied the realities that I presented. Supposedly I took the child to an unknown location. My unique name, address and phone number was in the telephone directory. The mother and her family all falsely claimed not to know where I was staying. My lawyer told the court that I was following his advice. He refused to give my address to the police when asked to. I was sentenced to 3.5 years of jail.
We appealed to the High Court. They refused to look at the case as the "evidence was overwhelming" that I planned to escape the country with my child.
We appealed to the Norwegian Supreme Court. Eventually, they decided that I had done nothing wrong. But since I was a foreigner, I could have done something wrong. They gave me a 6-month suspended sentence.
I was not allowed to see my son again for 8 years. My health was damaged. My savings were wiped out. At 18, my son did badly at school. His Norwegian family wanted him to become a fisherman or something like that. I took him to Australia. With the help of my doctor wife, we encouraged him. He took his exams again 4 years later and was accepted at the Oslo University Medical School. He is now a doctor in Norway.
Norway is one of the most corrupt, cowardly and racist countries on the planet. I wish professor Diesen good luck. Quisling is alive and well in Oslo.

I also wanted to add; this actually made me cry. I thought Norway of all countries would be and do better...
Why?
We used to be a country of peace, but that ended with Stoltenberg bombing the hell out of Libya. Ever since, we've gone downhill.

Rare courage — thank you for your work.
Sad to see you feel the need to move countries.
The state of democracy in Europe is dire to say the least.
Wow! If people like yourself have to leave their home countries for telling the truth and exposing politicians for their corruption, things have gone from bad to worse! I will continue to support you nonetheless.
I wish I could move, so 100% supportive of Glenn and other truth activists finding a new home from which to keep up the fight or have a better life.

Inspiration to be patient as what you say has come true is the only persuasion we need.
