I had the pleasure to speak with Jackson Hinkle about how US- Russia peace negotiations are stalling. The US is pushing for a quick ceasefire and criticises Russia for dragging its feet, while Russia is concerned that the US is attempting to impose another Minsk agreement in which the fighting stops, but the underlying causes of the war are not addressed. The threat by the Europeans to send troops into Ukraine during a ceasefire is a successful tactic to sabotage the negotiations as it makes it impossible for Russia to accept an end to the hostilities. A huge Russian offensive can be expected in the coming weeks.
