There is nothing to negotiate in Istanbul. UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER IS THE ONLY THING TO DO. They are still going to try and screw over the Russians. Remember all the accords they didn't respect ?
I think that the retired Hungarian ambassador Dr. György Varga would be a very interesting interview partner for you. I am enclosing the link (https://www.nachdenkseiten.de/?p=127195) to an article (in German translation) he had written about the genesis of the Ukrainian war.
For negotiations on recent deals, Zelenskyy has done either one of two sneaky tricks guaranteed to blow up the whole process. He does this because he obviously doesn't want the deal at all, but doesn't want to be portrayed in the media as stonewalling 'the path to peace'. Yeah, Zelinskyy is certainly a peace loving little troll.
The two tricks are actually two variations of the same tactic: 1) He offers an option that sounds good on the surface, but the unstated details are intrinsically flawed; 2) he appears to agree to an offer at the outset, but then raises details at the last minute which contradict the intent of the offer itself. No doubt he learned this from studying Western diplomats over the last 20 years.

Dear Prof. Diesen,
I think that the retired Hungarian ambassador Dr. György Varga would be a very interesting interview partner for you. I am enclosing the link (https://www.nachdenkseiten.de/?p=127195) to an article (in German translation) he had written about the genesis of the Ukrainian war.
I wish you all the best.

More likely he’s been studying the Israeli approach!
Thank you both !!!
