Lawrence Wilkerson: Defeated & Divided - NATO's Existential Crisis
Lawrence Wilkerson is a retired Colonel in the US Army and the former Chief of Staff to the US Secretary of State. Colonel Wilkerson argues that NATO has exhausted itself, abandoned strategic thinking, rationality, and is no longer fit for purpose. The inability to adjust to existing realities and deliver security will continue to cause internal divisions.
Trump changes his position often. That is confusing. But otherwise another number of experts would say that Trump doesn't listen. Moreover, NATO is in fact the US plus some others. NATO without US is nothing. Hence, NATO's crisis is US crisis. Big brother can't hide behind little brothers.
Trump1 facilitated the Ukraine war too. Trump1 foolishly ended INF. Therefore, Biden's and Trump's signature are on that war. Obama's signature is on it as well. Even Bill Clinton's signature visible.
Note too that NATO on the border includes Finland > 2023. So, no peace in Ukraine because of NATO at Russian border. But yes under conditions peace with Ukrain *despite* NATO in Finland. That's quite illogical isn't it?
I thought it was hugely stupid of Finland, traditionally neutral in recent times, to go and join NATO.
