Prof. Diesen,

I continue to be impressed with the quality and breadth of the discussions you host with your interlocutors.

Thank you for all you do.

I read through most of this citation and it’s a bunch of weird right wing libertarian garbage. I guess it’s a good thing because if someone does look at it, it helps us trust Sachs even more.

Are you a "democrat" per chance? Only they label whomever disagrees with them "right wing" (which is ironic, as they are Nazis themselves)... This is just lazy - you don't have to disagree with anything - a broad brush would do. "Garbage"... that was also quick... and lazy.

My experience with Mr. Sachs:

I started (not knowing the guy) by liking him, after his fair take on the Nord Stream 2 attack. But later on, during an interview on "The Duran", he was as excited as a kid in the candy store saying that "we are going to have new money - CBDCs". If you are true to your name, you should know that the CBDCs are NOT money and are are a dangerous tool of the financial imperialism; he was presenting it as an inevitability, a good thing and was excited about it - HUGE RED FLAG... for me at least...

The second time, Mr. Sachs was talking about the fact that "global problems need global solutions", thus the need for a - hold your beer! - a global government. He then continued - sure - this would erode a bit the national sovereignty of the states, but - he concluded - we give a little but we gain SO MUCH in return. Nothing like the comfort of our chains - ey?

Trust him if you think he deserves your trust - I do not! I stopped listening to the episodes of my favorite shows when he is invited.

Mr Sachs suggested you read the document signed by the Brics in Rio.

To Mr Sachs: please read the following:

n September 22nd, dignitaries from around the world will gather at the United Nations headquarters in New York for a meeting called Summit of the Future.

At the conference, world leaders will sign Pact for the Future, an accord in which member states will pledge their allegiance to the UN as a central, unifying government.

Altogether, the document lists 60 actions that member states should take. In nearly all of them, the agreement makes it clear that the countries’s interests revolve around the UN and its globalist systems.

A clause buried toward the end of the document requires member states to embed UN “agreements and resolutions” in their own national laws:

87 LEGALLY BLIND THUS CAPS

On July 6, BRICS member states signed the Joint Declaration of the 17th BRICS Summit, “Strengthening Global South Cooperation for More Inclusive and Sustainable Governance”, in Rio de Janeiro.

We reaffirm our commitment to multilateralism

and upholding the international law, including the Purposes and Principles enshrined in

the Charter of the United Nations (UN), in their entirety and interconnectedness as its

indispensable cornerstone, and the central role of the UN in the international system, in

which sovereign states cooperate to maintain international peace and security, advance

sustainable development, ensure the promotion and protection of democracy, human

rights and fundamental freedoms for all as well as cooperation based on solidarity, mutual

respect, justice and equality.

Can the United Nations Be Saved?

Because there is little oxygen for reforming the UN, whatever oxygen exists needs to be deployed efficiently to restore and broaden the secretary-general’s peacemaking role, which can address not only internal conflicts but interstate wars, as well. This will require building a team of experienced in-house mediators who have an intimate

Brilliant analysis! Jeffrey Sachs seems like one of the only voices of reason on why the US and the West is unable to cope with the changes going on in the world. It’s not that we are falling apart, it’s that the rest of the world is moving forward.
