Is an Israeli Attack on Iran Imminent?

The media is full of reports about a possible imminent Israeli attack on Iran. With US-Iran nuclear negotiations not moving forward, Israel hopes to pull the US into a war against Iran. What would be the nuclear contamination and how will Iran retaliate?
Whenever I think Trump and his merry band of NeoCons can't say anything else to show how they really do not have a plan, Trump will make another stupid statement. The ever changing rhetoric in regards to Iran is almost as senseless as his "I am mad at Putin" statements. Is this really what Americans want from our President? We forced Russia to destroy Ukraine and now our President is "mad at Putin", are we a bunch of middle schoolers on the playground?
First, hubris but the USIsrael have been talking about invading Iran for decades, so what makes the latest threats any different? Of course, if the US view Israel as an expendable asset, all bets are off but are the US ruling class really that out of touch with reality? Are they really so desperate as to risk the chance of a regional war with an unknown outcome? And what of the environmental disaster that would follow destruction of Iran's nuclear infrastructure, a disaster that would contaminate much of West Asia. I think the joker in the pack is Israel and their messianic, psychopathic, fascist leaders and it seems, most of Israel's population.
