The whole Ukraine project has been one long episode of the West continuously shooting itself in the foot.

- "Overextending Russia" has turned into overextending the US military worldwide.

- "Strategic defeat of Russia" has turned into a strategic defeat for Nato.

- "Crippling the Russian economy" has turned into devastating European economies and boosting the Russian economy.

- "Unsettling the Kremlin leadership" has turned into collapsing governments in the West.

- "Isolating Russia diplomatically" has strengthened Russian position in the non-Western world and alienated the global majority from the West.

There is every reason to believe that the erratic decision of the parting Biden administration to allow missile strikes into Russia will also backfire.

The US decision to arm its proxy in Ukraine for striking Russia will result in a symmetric Russian response. In other words, the Russians will arm proxy forces (Houthis, etc.) to strike at US targets.

The Russian weapons supplied to proxies around the world will not be returned to Russia even when the West has pulls out of Ukraine after defeat there. That is not reversible. Thus, US enemies will be strengthened in the long run.

How is it possible the Western leaders keep on making decisions that benefit Russia and harm the West?

I think the West has entered a phase of collective psychopathology that will accelerate its inevitable downfall - like a madman banging his head against the wall.

One more factor is that the West is not really united. What benefit the US doesn't necessarily benefit Western Europe. It's often even quite the contrary and possibly made on purpose (starting with the NordStream sabotage of course) . And I think that explain quite a few things.

Zelinsky would be an imbecile to start peace off like this BATO EU Anerica more so.

It's just the behaviour of a demented child, it will never happen.

"..save Ukraine or sabotage Trump?"

IMHO neither. Trump is remarkably quiet, and I wouldn't be surprised if he is (like with the 'pandemic' and his other 'failed' attempts to 'drain the swamp' or 'fight the deep state') is fully on board.

Look at the other angle: now Trump has a perfect off-ramp for his ridiculous campaign promise/lie that he 'would end the Ukrainian conflict in 24 hours.'

Also don't forget: it was Trump who started supplying Kiev with lethal military aid, so now he has the perfect 'excuse' to continue escalating and blame the senile old man. Call me a cynic, but they are ALL actors delivering the Deep State script, and Biden's role (for as far as he is even aware) is now to escalate.

May I suggest that both factors are at play: (1) Biden's team wants to trap Trump (2) Trump's team wants to set up for a quick exit from Ukraine. Officially there is no longer any US military equipment to withdraw - they all belong to Ukraine now, even the accounting may have been balanced. I would like to add two totally speculative possibilities, no evidence whatsoever. (3) Biden's action is a secret trade with Trump to buy safe exit for the Biden family with the knowledge minimal ATACMs are still available. It is like a congressional resolution without a matching appropriation bill. (4) There is a US general trapped behind the "Kursk Pocket" and US DoD wants to get him out. Raytheon has got more missiles ordered than it can deliver, so Raytheon may not be a factor. But if a general is trapped, the Defense Secretary would have a lot of explanation to do.

Interesting thoughts, I'm working on a longer post about this, basically as a follow up on this post: https://fulgurite4779.substack.com/p/are-all-3-d-chess-pieces-are-lined

Yep Trump is so establishment, so a puppet of the deep state and so a tool of big tech, arms, pharma, fossil fuel and animal ag (pharma's biggest client) it's a total joke. Look at Trump/Musk grinning over a Macdonalds Happy (not for the f-ing animals it isn't) meal. At least RFK (who's CHD has spoken out against junk food) has the decency to look sheepish. All of them in on it right up to their casually loosened collars.

No, its pique. The decision will amount to nothing. What is being missed here is the UK's relentless efforts to escalate the war, and also to continue it after any ceasefire by training guerillas.

I reported on this yesterday, after Kit Klarenberg published his report on the matter.

Ukraine is not willing to be a satelite state under Russia, but under the gangsters from USA/UK/EU it is ok to be a satelite...

The phrase "Ukraine has a right to defend itself" is context-switch deception, a typical semantic trick from the woke left's grab bag of such tricks.

Ukraine has no right to defend itself when it is at war with half its population. It has no right to defend itself by engaging in coalitions that deliberately threaten its neighbors.

I don't think it's the 'woke left'. It's from the same place as 'Israel has a right to defend itself'. "And so does Taiwan'- though it's part of One China and would be defending itself agaisnt itself.

It's from the US Imperialist war machine supported by Biden and Trump.
