That Western Liberalism is a delusion has been known for decades if not for centuries by many in the Global South whose ancestors had suffered under colonialism followed by their own suffering under Western capitalist imperialism. They have known all along what Liberalism really meant, hypocrisy, double standards, an English play on words that the British are such masters of, playing a zero-sum game of giving on one hand while taking with the other and, in the worst cases, of European (White) Supremacy and American exceptionalism. Only now, is Liberalism being challenged and possibly understood by the alternate media in the West.
In the English language, the word liberal is an adjective denoting tolerance and open to new ideas. But ever since Enlightenment, when liberalism started dominating Western thought and challenging the closet minded religious orders, European tolerance did not extend to the social tolerance of the "racial" other (i.e. the non-whites) or the "religious" other (i.e. first the Jews, then the Muslims). Their new ideas predominantly included the unethical or colonial use of Science and Technology to gain superiority over the global commons as well as their own commons. Only now, with neoliberalism on the loose and deatabilising the order imposed after WWII, are we in the West beginning to wish for alternatives to liberalism.
"God" commanded the Israelites to engage in capitalism, racism, colonialism, ethnic cleansing and genocide. These commandments are meticulously laid out in the Torah. "Christians" follow the same "religion" as the Israelites, so these practices are hard-wired into Western culture. Changing the political system is a waste of time. It is like rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic. What is needed is an entirely new paradigm which will capture the imagination of Mankind. It is my belief that "God" will not be found on Mars nor on the moons of Jupiter. There lies our destiny.
