Yes, free speech includes the right to offend and to be racist and sexist. Banning this opens the door, as you say, to banning everything big money doesn't like. We all need to maintain the right to offend. Bigots shouldn't be banned- they should be debated and made to look callous- not heros of censorship.

Excellent exposition on a process that further underlines Western hypocrisy. As US/Western hegemony continues to erode across multiple domains we can expect censorship to become increasingly intense.

What troubles me the most of living in Norway is that most people I know and meet are totally unaware of the western censorship and propaganda and those who are openly defend it.

The public space in Norway is getting increasingly toxic and dangerous and it’s far too late to oppose. Nazi-Germany 1934 is Norway 2024 and it’s getting worse.

That's how effective western propaganda is. Most people I know living in Europe think that we have freedom of speech.

Dare you mention, something that doesn't fit the narrative and they will call it misinformation.

Sorry to hear of your YouTube banning, but I suppose it should no longer be surprising. You and your work first came to my attention when you interviewed on The Duran, and I have since read your recent excellent book "The Ukraine War and the Eurasian World Order." I have seen Alexander Mercouris of The Duran, who also posts on YouTube, tiptoeing around certain words and phrases to try to avoid getting banned. But if YouTube can get away with labeling commentary and analysis as professional and courteous as your own as "hate speech", I'd say the sky is the limit.

Actions like this are the reason I minimize my use of YouTube. I now view my preferred commentators on alternative platforms like Rumble whenever possible, and when I hear of something new I want to watch, I always search for it on Rumble before reluctantly turning to YouTube If I must.

Please keep posting on those alternative platforms, and glad you're here on Substack!

I wonder how many of my fellow Americans will even admit to how total the censorship has become since 2016. You are correct, it started with Alex Jones and the things he is accused of are worse than what he actually said, but nobody cared. We (U.S.) are so divided now, both sides agree with censorship IF they think it helps their "team" which is laughable, since it is all of us against tyranny.

I enjoyed your channel and I figured they would remove you. Some other channels have obviously changed their "reporting" so they can continue to profit, these people should reconsider but I am sure they will not.

Censorship is a tool to keep a populous ignorant and easily controlled, as only weak information with no basic logic need protecting. The truth is the truth so it needs no protection.

I am still in shock, feeling both saddened and alarmed, that you, Mr. Diesen, the mild-mannered academic, have been completely removed from YouTube.

We are truly moving towards an Orwelian future.

Yea. Just imagine how insecure they are right down to their bones to want to censor such a fellow. Perhaps it's a sign that we're winning, eh?

Great analysis. I've wondered for a while if Substack will fall to censorship. Yahoo will reject comments that contain the word Substack or Telegram.

Excellent analysis! Now someone has to lay out the principles and tools that can be used to fight back and to effectively counter the merciless censorship and digital oppression!

Do you think it could be achieved or the public has to wait the physical demise of the system?

Excellent writing, Glenn. I always appreciate your and your guests’ perspectives.

I’ve said this for a while, but now I’m even more certain that Americans are the most propagandized people on earth. Sadly, possibly the dumbest as well (lack of critical thinking skill).

P.s.: I wonder if your recent piece on the NS2 was the final nail?

Anyway,

You are correct and Australian commentator Caitlin Johnstone agrees with you about Americans being the most propagandized people on earth. Critical thinking is no longer taught in schools. On the contrary, dumbed-down subject matter and "teaching to the test" have taken over the education system, or what remains of it. The censored mainstream media and the assistance of the education system in washing the young brains of American school kids work to reinforce the acceptance of censorship. This is why education is being privatized by charter schools and why organizations like NED are brainwashing foreign students so they will go back home to their native country filled with American BS.
