Walking Away from the Ukraine War & Restoring Strategic Clarity

Colonel Douglas Macgregor argues the US needs to return to strategic clarity about its interests, objectives and priorities. This entails ending the Ukraine War by walking away. Colonel Macgregor is a combat veteran, a PhD, an author of many books on war strategy, and served as a senior official in Trump's Department of Defense during his first administration.
Few analysts seem to understand that the Über financial elites are calling the shots, both in the US and Europe. This is existential for them because their monopoly is being undermined. They *own* all of the West's leaders. The Israel Lobby are merely their bribery / hit men. I think Trump does have a secret strategy to satisfy them: create a *subterfuge* act pretending to favor and negotiate peace while continuing the proxy war because he knows Russia and Ukraine won't accept his advisors' proposals. He is "moving the needle" a bit to remove some previous blocks in relations with Russia as a gesture of diplomacy, nevertheless the Pentagon is still preparing for war in the Baltics, the Arctic, the Black Sea, Iran, and China. I expect he will not "walk away" from Ukraine but will push European countries to ante-up with more money, weapons and intel services. Meanwhile, European leaders are following their orders to heighten their anti-Russia rhetoric and dig in with their support of Ukraine's war plans. This war can only end with Russia's military victory – and not even that will end the hostilities in the wider conflict.
Let’s face it. If we had listened to and taken the advice of Douglas MacGregor, Glenn Diesen and John Mearsheimer we would have avoided a huge amount of pain and suffering. And what’s true of the past in this regard is true of the present and future. Which is a way of saying we’re crazy not to take your advice. It’s truly amazing how badly we’re mismanaging our affairs.
(If one were to extrapolate that same logic, one would come to realize that what I have to say is the equivalent of what you and John have to say on a more profound, species wide level).
