The United States cannot claim moral authority while it abandons its own veterans and legislates preferential protections for those who willingly enlist in foreign militaries. Every American who fought in undeclared CIA proxy wars—from Iran to Colombia, Mexico, and across Latin America—did so under the banner of U.S. interests, often coerced by circumstance or recruited into conflicts they did not fully understand. They returned home carrying the same wounds as any soldier: PTSD, moral injury, fractured families, and broken bodies. Yet Congress has never extended them the dignity of recognition, never legislated advanced benefits, never even authorized the VA to treat their trauma. To now elevate mercenary service in the Israeli Terrorist Forces above the sacrifices of these forgotten veterans is not simply preferential — it is a desecration of justice.
