Thank you for having Scott Ritter again! Yes, the latest Russian requests are that BOTH Ukraine and NATO disarm. But as I've said before, disbanding NATO should be in exchange for SOMETHING, such as an improved UNSC in which the members of the UNGA select Security Council members from a list of nations which have NOT attacked another in the past 5 years and have, themselves, demonstrated peace, order and good-governance at home. There would be NO "permanent" members. Thus, NATO disbands in exchange for that, as well as ALL nations along the Russia border will actually be NEUTRAL, with no troops from either "side." The hate of Russia in the "West" must cease totally - "Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." - MLK Jr. See also: https://kathleenmccroskey.substack.com/p/a-possible-path-to-peace
First of all the US does not value the UN as an institution at all, so why would it trade for anything UN related?
Secondly NATO serves effectively to kill masses of people mainly civilians, so if the US did value UN ideals and principles it would disband it itself.
"Viable", not "visble." Nobody values the UN, the main reason being the UNSC is worse than useless, therefore reforming it is essential to its performance of its very important mandate. Yes, it would be great if the US disbanded NATO, but with NATO being such an evil in this world, it is not desirable to enact its demise in exchange for something useful? The only card the West holds is its ability to extinguish NATO - why rough that for nothing?
NATO has to disband, not just disarm. That is called "Common Sense 101," something NATO doesn't have. The best of them among NATO leaders certainly foresaw that the perpetuation of the post-war relic would lead to increasing need to prove its relevance and thus to expansion and the perpetuation of wars against the weak with loads of tweaking and Propaganda Media boosting. It is like a "teensy cancerous blob" that we all allowed to feed on us to grow bigger and more powerful and less concerned with anything relating to "values." Unless it is currency you're speaking of. NATO will fall all by itself in its endless quest to send their "buffer zone states" (all of eastern Europe) to die for western Europe.
Yes, that’s what I said, NATO needs to disband, but really, it being such an evil in this world, what’s left of The West needs something material in exchange - that’s poor diplomacy. It’s far more than a teensy cancerous blob, it controls finances and political discourse in every country. It is important to get something worthwhile in exchange for eliminating NATO before it is defeated (which is coming). And Eastern Europe will not die for western Europe - the Oreshniks will first fall on the western cities, land wars are obsolete. Europe has none of what’s required for its wishful attacks on Russia, not in military personnel, manufacturing capacity or finances, or public will, for that matter. It is a pathetic attempt to boost their failing economies, which are failing from deliberate abandoning of Russia energy supplies.
A very bloody divorce from a 70-year marriage with the Soviet Union. Giving Hunter Biden blow jobs at a Kiev brothel for 5 billion wasn't such a good deal after all. The only ones who benefited were Pimp Zelenzky, 9 million rich Ukrainians who emigrated to American universities and jobs. Filling this vacuum were Nazi Banderist Azov thugs working with the German-Deutch-American-British-Viking NATO speculators to bring down Russia.
Usa is not stupid and playing lame duck is absolutely the best strategy. it allows to make all policy goals come true: take down public service, enforcing USA economic isolationalism, avoiding attacks on the USA, letnIsrael do what they want; divert attention to Europe and the uk, and the main thing- bring Europe down economically at all cost. Europe is the center and birth place of socialism and the welfare states that they hate most. My gut feeling is trump and Russia divided up the world already. Cooperating to bring Europe down.
It is not "Trump's war" but rather an extension of The Western capitalists' 'old war on Russia' and the orders come primarily from oligarchs residing in the City of London (not the 'city' of London for those who don't know the difference) with the active involvement of MI6. The question is what these villains will do, along with the CIA's and even Mossad's help, following the Ukraine regime's military defeat. This is truly an evil crime gang engaging in hybrid war with no regard for civilian life, and Russia needs to find more effective means to fight the insurgent terrorist onslaught already arriving from many directions including from neighboring countries and from European mercenaries and within pre-2014 Russia. The threat of Oreshniks or other hypersonic missiles won't stop them. The attrition battle strategy won't work for that purpose, nor will a buffer zone, and it won't be possible to eliminate all the Neo-Nazis scrambling like cockroaches from the light of justice toward Eastern Europe, whose advanced drones and Western intelligence data give them unprecedented violent capabilities. Call them WWD – Weapons of Wanton Destruction. I would ask Mr. Ritter to delve into that aspect more.
– A dangerous and expensive solution looking for a problem
This is what we know about Russia's nuclear-powered cruise missile and the dangers it brings.
"The missile flew 14,000 kilometers and was in the air for about 15 hours," said General Valery Gerasimov, who is the chief of the general staff of Russia, in a statement to President Vladimir Putin. The picture was taken on another occasion. Grigory Sysoyev / Sputnik / Kremlin / AP / NTB

On October 21, Russia conducted a test of the nuclear-powered Burevestnik cruise missile. Dubbed "Skyfall" by NATO. It became known on Sunday.
Why is this important for Norway?
Although Burevestnik is not operational, testing is taking place in our immediate areas – at Novaya Zemlya in the Arctic. The risk of radioactive contamination and the need for monitoring mean that Norwegian authorities, such as the DSA and the Norwegian Intelligence Service, are closely monitoring. The incident is a reminder of how vulnerable Norway is as a neighbour of a nuclear superpower with activity in the High North.

"The missile flew 14,000 kilometers and was in the air for about 15 hours," General Valery Gerasimov, who is the chief of the general staff of Russia, said in a statement to President Vladimir Putin on Sunday. Now the head of the intelligence service, Vice Admiral Nils Andreas Stensønes, confirms to ABC News the incident.
"We can confirm that Russia has carried out a new test firing of the long-range cruise missile SKYFALL (Burevestnik) on Novaya Zemlya. The missile had nuclear propulsion and this time flew significantly further than before," he says.
Still under development
The missile, which can be equipped with a nuclear warhead, is powered by a nuclear reactor. This will give the missile a very long range, and thus have the ability to attack targets all over the globe in any direction.
In the report "Focus 2025", the Norwegian intelligence service writes that Burevestnik can probably "fly in unpredictable trajectories suitable for circumventing air defense by exploiting directional blind spots in the systems' warning and interception capabilities."
Russia has been testing the missile since 2016, says Stensønes, and adds that it will still take time before the missile is fully developed and can be deployed in the forces.
"The missile is under development. The purpose is to give the missile a very long range and increased ability to bypass missile defenses.
Stensønes will not say more about the test, the missile or what we should be worried about. This is due to risk-free return considerations. But he emphasizes that the Intelligence Service is monitoring Russian activity Head of the Intelligence Service, Nils Andreas Stensønes when he presented the Intelligence Service's open threat and risk assessments. "Dangerous and expensive solution"

There are no NATO countries that have a nuclear-powered cruise missile in their arsenal, nor are there any that have one in development.
This is what Associate Professor at the Air Force Academy, Lars Peder Haga, tells ABC News.
"The United States has air-supplied cruise missiles that can carry nuclear warheads that play a similar role to what Burevestnik is presumably intended to do.
Like Stensønes, Haga says that there is still quite a while until Burevestnik will be operational and in particularly large quantities. He believes that the missile has so far not proved to be something to be particularly worried about.
"Since the data that has been released so far indicate that Burevestnik is a cruise missile that moves at subsonic speed, it does not really pose a technically very demanding threat to meet," says Haga.
Haga says that the Russians portray it as the almost unlimited range of the cruise missile giving it the opportunity to attack targets from unexpected directions on a global scale, such as planes to the North American continent via Antarctica.
"But it will still be detectable and combated as a conventionally powered cruise missile as it begins to approach a defended area.
"It seems like a dangerous and expensive solution that is looking for a problem.
Long transport time
So what is it that we should be worried about?
Øyvind Gjølme Selnæs, Head of Emergency Preparedness Analysis at DSA. DSA
"What we should be most concerned about so far is probably the risk of releasing radioactivity in connection with further testing and development," says Haga.
Øyvind Gjølme Sælnes, head of the section for emergency preparedness analyses at the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (DSA), says to ABS Nyheter that they have not uncovered anything abnormal at their monitoring stations at this time. But adds:
"If there has been a spill in connection with Russia's testing of the cruise missile, there is a long transport time with weather and wind to Norway, and it will take time before it can possibly be registered at our measuring stations.
How DSA works
DSA has nine air filter stations in various places in Norway where they monitor radioactivity in the air, including two in Finnmark and one in Svalbard. The monitoring stations are very sensitive and will capture even small amounts of radioactive substances.
Together with the automatic measurement and warning network Radnett, monitoring radioactivity in the air can provide an early indication of the release of radioactive substances," Sælnes explains.
"This surveillance is continuous," he adds.
Radnett is a nationwide network of 33 stations that continuously monitor radioactivity in the environment. They will thus provide an early warning in the event of an unknown radioactive release affecting Norway.
However, the air filter stations are more sensitive than the row network stations. "The filters from these stations are analyzed at DSA's laboratories, and we usually receive results from these stations 1-2 days after the arrival of the filter at the laboratory.
The filters at the air filter stations are changed weekly, and it varies when this is done at the different air filter stations.
I just wonder when the publics will take to the sttreets in Europe. Their lives are being used as the stakes in nuclear chicken. The EU's Stepford Leaders bet that enough of you will survive to continue playing your useful roles as supporters in a post-nuclear "society." And of course those who got you there will be safe underground -- or will they simply be "safely buried" underground?
USA still playing yo-yo with Europe. Love Biden, hate trump, and back again. They let Trump do the dirt job with Ukraine and Israel and taking down the public service in the us; and then can start off with a new president with a clean record. ‘Trump was dump’ is the plan. Excellent interview, gents! I especially liked Scott Ritter’s portrayal of Trump and Rubio. Masterful and at the same time very accurate.

If it quacks like a lame duck it is a lame duck.
A healthy duck would not sell weapons to hunters and then quack about being shot in the ass.
