I've loads of time for Scott Ritter, his military knowledge is unparalleled, it seems to me, but he seems to be blaming the Europeans for their own downfall, almost suggesting the USA had nothing to do with it, when we all know that is the exact opposite of the truth and that this whole thing is a US proxy war that has been decades in the making, and Europe just went along with it.

I also think SR (like Douglas MacGregor) tends to plug the apocalyptic scenario, based on the sort of mayhem the US military would unleash, perhaps putting himself in the Russians position and describing more what he would do if he were Putin. But he isn't. Putin has shown incredible reluctance to even fire one Oreshnik missile, never mind 560. Don't expect fireworks.

Putin has shown himself to be a real 'steady Eddie'. Until now, that's been an overwhelming positive, but he is going to have to get more ruthless and actually eradicate the Ukrainian cancer or Russia will be in a 20-year drone exchange with a terrorist state supplied by NATO.

Fascinating analysis! I’d hate to be on the opposing side of any military force commanded by Scott Ritter.
