Very much appreciated your comments about media manipulation and the current moment with Iran -- we are seeing a ratcheting up of US threats about military dominance as being an immediate threat in the next few days, while at the same time both Hegseth and Graham had said we're looking at "weeks." Graham said on Jan 16 that the US strategy for now is bluster -- but the media just overlooked that and is really investing in the immediacy of military action.
And in Rubio's speech, if you follow all the fear-based words, it becomes clear that the US was asking Europe for an alliance against the new "tyranny in the East" -- China, who was described in detail but never explicitly named. "West" appeared 18 times in his speech -- that tells you the US is very focused on "the East." Taken as a whole, US foreign interference now looks like a sort of urgent land/resource grab war v China (who has been playing more strategically and for the longer term).
