Ray McGovern was a CIA Intelligence Analyst for 27 years, chair of the National Intelligence Estimates, and prepared the President’s Daily Brief. Trump’s efforts to diminish the power of the “deep state”, “blob”, or “permanent state” have been swift and profound. Intelligence agencies and federal employees are downsized, while foreign “aid” has been suspended for 90 days. The US built an empire of foreign interference and subversion with NGOs that are financed by the US government and aligned with US intelligence agencies. As the country polarised, the deep state was seen to go after Trump under his first administration with Russiagate and the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. By suspending “aid” and financing to USAID, the propaganda machinery is now exposed as “independent journalists” and NGOs around the world have lost their funding. Allied with people like Tulsi Gabbard and Elon Musk, Trump seems determined to “drain the swamp”.

- Interesting video. I have heard (& watched) McGovern's interesting views for say 20 years. Allways a pleasure to listens or watch him speak.
Trump versus the Deep State? I think everybody has got Trump's role completely wrong. First, forget what he says, that's all Trump's macho, car salesman bullshit and look deeper. Underneath the BS, it's the imperialist game plan and its objectives, all the way. So Trump says what the ruling class thinks and wants, with knobs on but it's all showmanship, underneath it all, it's cold-blooded capitalism, the way it's always been. The Emperor really doesn't have any clothes. The point is, if it all goes pear-shaped, it won't be the US ruling class that gets blamed, it'll be Trump! He's the ultimate fall guy, totally expendable.
