Why is Larry fear-mongering about China? Japan and S Korea should seek peace and trade with their largest Asian neighbors.

Steve Sither's avatar

China will never view Japan favorably, going back to the horrors of Manchuria, WW2.... Wilkerson is anathema to, as you call it " fear mongering "....He is about : TRUTH.

The reason we can't respond to our existential threats is that we have allowed conservative media to lie to people.

Steve Sither's avatar

No…you are way off target. PROPAGANDIZED ….that's you

Great interview. The truth is put in complete perspective, always , with Wilkerson. Thank you, Glen .

Concerned Americans are only receiving filtered news and information via the controlled major networks and Trumps Truth Social.

In others we’re all fed propaganda.

The yesrs when American children were taught and were encouraged to distinguish between “fact and opinion have left individuals without the tools to form their own opinions

Why ? As Jane Goodall said 2 weeks before she died :

"We are an intellectual species. But we are not intelligent. An intelligent being would not destroy the only home it's ever known ."

Thanks for folding in the climate crisis, LW—others leave it out of the discussion but it’s inextricably linked to these ill-conceived wars and our survival.

It's all staged. Israel will Nuke Iran on behalf of the West. Here are my findings, detailed with proof. https://youtu.be/SENU44iniSE?si=s2FxyRo40DTvAXwr

I doubt that. That would be insanely stupid .

Has genocidal Israel shown empathy or intelligence at all? They bombed their own people on the 7th of October. If they think they are losing they want the whole world to die too.

What is there left to live for? Whether nuclear weapons or not won’t make the slightest difference.

Was life not about the joy of life, a certain quality of life, wellbeing, the sheer satisfaction of being alive? Our primal fear has become weaponised so that life on earth as we know can be eradicated in any moment and that moment has never been so instant as now.

A human being born out of love is now being born and already being a burden, know that you’re not welcome anymore and that death can take everything away with a sudden flash.

This here is no longer our favourite planet who knows there are in the Goldilocks region that are nuclear free? There must be something in our DNA that builds up to a certain point and then self-destroys, and as a consequence wants to take the whole world with it, and that’s what we see in the open happening to the chosen one Trump.

Maybe its possible, to develop a thesis, that humans are inherently evil? I dunno. We seem not to be able to emotionally handle 'power'

Guido Vandeven's avatar

Evil or divine, I only confess that we could have done better as a human species collectively and also individually, than to put so much energy in self destructive weapons, instead of life affirmative and constructive projects. We as humans are a failing experiment, so many chances and opportunities we got offered and we made a complete mess of them.

Did Wilkerson really just advocate for Trump to have the CIA assassinate Ukraine's Zelensky?! What kind of madness is this? As if that would not just supercharge Putins aggressions & forever seal international condemnation against the U.S. Right up there with Trump advocating using nukes on Iran. WTF.

Kathy's avatar

It’s the way our country works. We created the system. It no longer shocks me. I’ve been wondering where all the assassins are in the great novels of yore. The world needs a purge of the ppl behind the policies and systems that only work for the few. The realities are much darker than we can see or comprehend. In the end the cycle is a closed loop.

bernard karpf's avatar

What is Putins 'aggressions'? His nation is the victim of USA aggression. Its an existential threat to Russia that NATO has been mismanaging. I would guess, most of the global community is waiting for Putin to dispatch an Orsehnik into Diego Garcia.

And the USA needs international condemnation for their transgressions, violations of international law.

Wilkerson served under Colon Powell who lied that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction that resulted in the death of 1. million Iraqi men, women and children.

Wilkerson may even have wanted Colin Powell to. become the first BLACK President.

Lawrence does, I believe, not acknowledge the separation between the some political leaders (especially those in the US and Canada, Germany, France and the UK) and the civilian populations.

We, the people, see the climate crisis impending; though this concern is ignored

Colonel Wilkerson and Professor Diesen,

In this discussion, Colonel Wilkerson referenced NOAA models projecting irreparable global environmental damage by 2065—noting that we are already experiencing elements of that degradation in 2026, which suggests we may be fast approaching a point of no return.

In parallel, Professor David N. Gibbs joined Professor Diesen to detail how intelligence agencies, specifically the CIA, have historically shaped and captured both academia and journalism. Professor Gibbs highlighted how covert funding, secret contracts, and pre-publication editing or sanitizing of academic books and journal articles ensure that published data remains aligned with state narratives.

If we accept Professor Gibbs’ premise that institutional knowledge production and academic research are routinely curated to manage narratives and maintain systemic control, how can we assume that even an alarming horizon like 2065 isn't itself a sanitized, overly optimistic estimate?

Is it reasonable to contemplate that institutional modeling is calibrated to give the public a manageable timeline—assuring us there is still time for incremental policy adjustments—when we are actually much further along the path to destruction? Furthermore, if power structures recognize that we are living through an unalterable end-stage scenario, does narrative control serve less to "solve" the crisis and more to maintain domestic order while elites simply live it up during known end times?

I would welcome your thoughts on whether the projected timelines of institutional environmental science suffer from the same systemic manufacturing of consent that Professor Gibbs outlined regarding foreign policy and academia.

To Col. Wilkerson's

comments on the climate crisis and global warming: When will we wake up? The closing of the Strait of Hormuz and its impacts highlight in 'stark relief' the continued dependency on fossil fuels, which the esteemed scientists he refers to agree is the main cause of GHG emissions and global warming. A real conundrum...

Uncomfortable. We have an abundance of testosterone of the American variety, which us what got us here n the first place. All of the first places that erupted at the excitement of bringing out the toys. NO! NO! There are side roads to peace and a health world. No more of this national mitosis. Stop it! Talk, and talk some more in the direction of the best for everyone, with the intention of ALL people having what they need to be well and happy. Oh I know Israel’s hatred is visceral and palestines memory of the last so many years is not fading. And that the ayyatola and his family are gone forever and the schoolchildren will be silent forever too, but chinas brilliance can help bring the people of the planet together in a celebration of their wonderful work with green power that could enhance the whole world. Enough with the WMDs. Enough. Find another way than global destruction. Otherwise you are failures. And we will fail,

Stupid men.

I'm sure the u s is considering, but the problem for US is russia made it very clear to president trump over two months ago. That such an option would lead to nuclear strike on parts of europe by russia

The western Military, Tech, and financial industrial complex’s are the problem. And these complex’s are controlled by Zionists
