I can imagine how frustrating it must be for you Glenn, but please be assured that you are changing minds. I largely believed the Western and Ukrainian propaganda when the conflict escalated in 2022, but luckily watched early on some discussions with John Mearsheimer and at some point discovered you and your work. I became more and more sceptical about the official version of the conflict, especially after the failed counteroffensive, and your book really helped me to make sense of it all. I'm certainly not alone and I find that more and more people realise that the Western approach isn't working and that the Ukrainians are now in a far worse position than they were before the talks in Istanbul collapsed. Most people make the moral argument that the West can't allow Russia to invade its neighbour, but it's easy to point out that the US and its allies have done very similar invasions, without a comparable outcry. Few people agree directly when I make this argument, but I'm certain that it will create some doubts in their minds.

Yes, I have tried. I start with the 1812 invasion of Napoleon's army via Ukraine. People don't have historical background. On route I mention that it was the USA that abandoned nuclear arms control agreements that Russia wanted to keep. I have had some success but it's hard going. I keep my stress down by playing the piano music of your compatriot Edvard Grieg.
