Amb. Jack Matlock: Western Leaders Became Ideological "War Criminals"
Jack F. Matlock, Jr, was the U.S. Ambassador to the USSR, 1987–1991, and had a key role in negotiating an end to the Cold War. Ambassador Matlock argues that Western leaders have been captured by ideology, forgotten about diplomacy, and "become war criminals".

Diplomacy has absolutely been forgotten by the Trump administration. Trump has stepped on Prime Minister of India Modi's toes. Modi has abandoned relations with the U.S. and has joined the Xi/Putin alliance. This may embolden Putin to further reduce the ability of the Nato alliance to promote peace in the European countries.
